Name LightWeightServer Chapter WebUI
Goal A lightweight, protocol-compatible synchronization server that implements the Tundra core APIs and protocols.
Description A new lightweight C++ port of the Tundra core APIs, called "Tundra-Urho3D", using the game engine library Urho3D (http://urho3d.github.io) has been developed into the repository at https://github.com/realxtend/tundra-urho3d. Presently it can act as a client for connecting into Tundra servers, and can be further developed with fairly minor work into a working synchronization server.
Rationale The Tundra server codebase, based on the Qt & Ogre libraries is starting to show its age, and several libraries / technologies it is based on (e.g. QtScript / QtScriptGenerator) are deprecated or stopped development. It is difficult to build due to the large number of 3rd party dependencies, and it is also memory use and performance heavy, meaning that for example running a scene in a cloud server requires more resources than it should.
