Name Virtualization Chapter WebUI
Goal Add configurable interfaces that simplify automatic deployment of server instances in a cluster environment
Description Synchronization and in particular its GE-implementation FiVES aims at large-scale deployment in a cluster-like environment. That is, deploying multiple instances of the server application will lead to high scalability w.r.t. to connected clients and synchronized data. This feature aims at investigating how FiVES can be provided in virtualized containers in the best way, and moreover to develop an interface to dynamically spawn and configure new FiVES instead to adapt to changes in the workload of a running application.
Rationale Scalability with respect to application workload needs a step where new server instances are spawned, depending on where in the application resources are running low. This needs means in the FiVES application for a flexible configuration approach that supports such dynamic deployments.
