Find the backlog page

On the Wiki Main page click on "Requests for entries in the FI-WARE Backlog coming from Use Case projects" in the "Getting started with FI-WARE" section.

Following the instructions there, you should click in "here" which should drive you to the wiki page where users can enter the full description of new Themes/Epics/Features they request to be considered for inclusion in the FI-WARE backlog.

Create new entry in the list of backlog entries

Create a section for your project (if it doesn't already exist). Then select the subsection for your backlog entry among the subsections "Themes", "Epics", "Features" and "User stories" whithin the section corresponding to your project. Click on the "Edit" link on the right hand side of the subsection title in order to edit the subsection.

On the edit page for the subsection you will find a list of backlog items.

Add a new list item for your backlog entry.

Attention: Please follow the convention that has been defined for the Id field in entries of FI-WARE related backlogs. Upper- or lower-case letters mind. In the case, of entries for the Unclassified Enablers Backlog:

   <backlog id>.<category>.<name>

where:

  • <backlog id>::= <name of UC project> | "FIWARE"
  • <category>::= "Theme" | "Epic" | "Feature" | "Story"
  • <name> is the value of the Name field of the entry, which should be a meaningful acronym.
  • <name of UC project> is the name of the UC project that issues the ticket (other UC projects may support your request, but this will documented in the "Stakeholders" field in the full description of the backlog entry published in the Wiki)

Note that you may submit information about the FI-WARE Chapter and GE you believe your request fits (this are optional fields in the ticket you submit). This is indeed rather helpful information which can accelerate handling of your request, but is not mandatory.

After adding a new list item you can save the page using the "Save page" to save the changed subsection.

You will now see the complete page with a new item added in the respective subsection. This item link will be in red color, denoting that the page does not yet exist.

In order to create the page click on the red item link.

  1. A new editor page opens and you can start to enter your backlog entry description.
