Goal Single objects with complex structured geometry should be instanced by only one node
Description Objects in 3D scenes are usually not described by only one mesh. They may rather consist of several sub-meshes with individual shading, mesh hierarchies for individual animation, or sub-divided into several meshes with different semantic meaning. AssetInstancing allows to create an instance of such externally stored complex objects - or assets - with only one node in the application. This node provides an interface to access parts of the complex object structure for individual configuration of instances.
Rationale 3D objects may be defined as a structured set of sub-meshes. Instances of these objects should hide the complex structure of sub-meshes from the user.
